I didn’t start Jo Noelle with a five-year plan. I started with scraps — literal and spiritual.
Old linens, broken jewelry, torn lace, threadbare quilts… things most would throw away. But something in me knew they weren’t trash. They were testimony. And God? He’s always been in the business of turning what’s torn into treasure.
🔥 Beauty for Ashes
Isaiah 61:3 says God gives us “beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and a garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.”
That’s not just poetry. That’s my daily walk.
There have been seasons in my life that felt like ash — divorce, uncertainty, financial fear, creative burnout. And yet, somehow, God always showed up with something better. Not fast fixes or fairy dust, but healing. Beauty. Purpose. The right customer, the right scrap of fabric, the right whisper of reassurance when I was ready to quit.
🧵 Stitched with Joy
My work as a designer is a reflection of that process.
When I hold a ripped vintage curtain or a broken watch chain, I ask: How can I bring this back to life? But often, I feel like God is asking me the same thing:
How can I bring you back to life?!?
Creating at Jo Noelle is more than fashion. It’s worship. It’s gratitude. It’s saying, “Yes, Lord, I see what You’ve done with the pieces I’ve handed You. Now let me do the same with these.”
Every upcycled kimono, every handcrafted necklace, every odd little scrap of fabric that finds a new purpose — they all carry joy where there once was mourning. They carry beauty where there was once just a mess.
💖 You’re Not Broken — You’re Becoming
Maybe you’re in an “ash season” right now. Maybe things feel frayed or finished.
But please hear this: You are not too far gone.
God is not finished with you.
He sees every scrap. And He’s already at work, weaving joy where sorrow tried to root.
At Jo Noelle, I make clothing and jewelry, yes. But more than that — I create hope. I wear restoration. And I want you to wear it too.
Browse the latest one-of-a-kind pieces handmade from rescued vintage — and know that what you wear carries a deeper meaning: You are being made new.
